In the intellectual property profession since 1995, having
previously obtained a post graduate degree. Trade mark specialist
with worldwide experience in all aspects of searching, filing,
prosecuting and opposing trade mark applications and trade
marks. Catherine has particular expertise in representing
clients in ex parte and inter partes hearings at the UK
Trade Marks Registry, and in conduct of matters before the
Community Trade Marks Office. Catherine is a Council member, former Treasurer and now
Second Vice President of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA),
and in 2008 she was elected as a Fellow of the Institute. In addition,
she is able to advise on the adoption of Chinese character marks, being proficient
in Mandarin Chinese.
